Alta Heights

Alta Heights runs east from the Napa River's eastern bank, between Coombsville Road and Third Street on the south and Clark and East avenues on the north. After the 1906 earthquake, many Italian families moved to its northern part, which came to be known as Little Italy. Residents value its height off the valley floor during river floods, its varied architecture and sweeping views of the city.
